The 7 Great Prayers - Book ReviewPaul and Tracey McManus Show A Powerful Way To Change Your Life
The 7 Great Prayers is the true story of how Paul and Tracey McManus turned their life around. While prayer is the center, it's really about positive affirmation.
With so much negativism around these days, many enjoy seeing a positive side, especially one that does not require investing a lot of time and money into changing your life. Enter the world of positive affirmation. The Simple Powerful Way to Change Your LifeThe McManus' had it all - and then lost it with the dot-com failure. While prayer was always part of their life, it was not thought of as a powerful tool. Yet instead of praying for the negative to turn around, they simply prayed and gave thanks for what they still had - each other, their health, and a loving family. This was the turning point. No negativism, just an affirmation of gratitude. Seeing a distinct change in their own attitudes as well as their situation, they realized the power of prayer and self-affirmation. Together with Mr. Mcmanus' religious training and background, they created six more prayers, which eventually lead to the book, The 7 Great Prayers. Originally, the husband and wife team were copying their book on an as-needed basis. As word spread though, more and more requests came in, along with notes of gratitude. In fact, this book was one of the top self-published books in the world. Eventually, they could not keep up with demand on a self-published basis. In order to reach more readers, they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a galley proof of the book from dedicated publishers. Conversational Tone in The 7 Great Prayers The 7 Great Prayers is written in a conversational tone, and flows from one section to another. The reader is encouraged to immediately start on the system of 21 days of particular prayer while reading the book; there is no reason to wait until the book is finished: in fact, the authors feel the reader will enhance results and understanding of concepts by immediately starting to use these prayers/affirmations. This is a "how to" book, with seven steps to reach a lifetime of blessings and hope. Each step is clearly defined with space provided for the reader to wrte down what is needed. For example, step 2 is to tap into your God-given gifts. This requires self reflection, and then a commitment by writing down and recognizing what these gifts are. The 7 Great Prayers by Paul and Tracey McManus shows a simple way to change your life. The book comes complete with CD and pocket sized prayer booklet, for easier accomplishment of the required 21 day session. Reference: McManus, Paul & Tracey. The 7 Great Prayers.
