Using the Law of Tenfold Return
Plant Seed Money to Attract Prosperity and Abundance
In 1960, John Hoshor introduced the Law of Tenfold Return, also called the Law of Seed Money, in the booklet Seed Money: The Law of Tenfold Return and How It Works published by the Church of Religious Science.

The Concept of Seed Money
The idea of seed money is simple: Give money (or something else of value) to the person or group one wants to assist. When making the gift, claim a tenfold return with this statement (to oneself, not others), "I have received [10 times the amount given] in return, with good to all concerned. Thank you."
Although the concept is simple, it requires an underlying foundation. The first foundation is belief without doubt that the multiplied return is already received. According to Speller, "When you think that you may get your tenfold return from 'planting' some seed money – you won't. When you believe that you will get a tenfold return on your seed money, you will."
More Foundations to the Law of Tenfold Return
Gratitude is necessary for the Law of Tenfold Return to work. Speller writes, "Before we can expect more, we must give thanks for that which we already have."
Another step involves visualizing the return. Speller says, "Then, to that add the mental picture of exactly what you are going to do with the return. If you intend to spend it, see yourself obtaining exactly what you want and using it. Go through the details of whatever is its function several times."
Blocks to Receiving a Tenfold Return
One block to receiving a tenfold return is holding the belief that money is evil, dirty, or unspiritual. Because like attracts like, a person with this belief cannot attract a tenfold return.
A similar second block is a mental attitude of lack. According to Speller, "Thoughts, which you are always sending out, compose the soil of your life. If you are constantly projecting thoughts of lack, you will have barren soil. If you project thoughts of plenty, your soil will be rich."
A third block to receiving a tenfold return is fear that the seed money will be lost. To alleviate this fear, a person planting seed money should give no more than she can believe she can receive.
A fourth block is resentment and guilt. Any resentment or guilt toward oneself or toward any person or thing blocks the flow of energy and thus the flow of money, which is just a form of energy. Speller also cautions to beware of subtle negative thoughts.
More than Money in The Law of Tenfold Return
For the Law of Tenfold Return to work, it's important to want more than money for the sake of money. "Money itself is lifeless, impotent, sterile. Wealth manifests more than mere good: it extends and expands Progress with new problems, new situations, new relationships," says Speller. Also, he urges people to ensure the motive in using seed money includes no intended harm towards another.

Seed money is different from tithing. The tithe is a gift made after receiving the income in thanks. Seed money is a gift made to claim a tenfold return.
Because money is only a medium of exchange, the tenfold return is not necessarily in the form of currency. Speller also says, "Do not pay the slightest attention to where your return is coming from. That is neither your work nor your responsibility." Also, do not set a time limitation.

Speller notes that the only limitation on return is self-imposed. "There is no lack of supply, only a lack of demand."
