The definition of Positive from a personal development standpoint with an example of usage.

Positive

Definition: Positive people look for and expect to find something of value, something good, in life's circumstances, even those circumstances that bring negative situations. Positive people are not Pollyannas; that is, they do not deny the negative aspect of a situation, but they do quickly move forward to make the most of the situation.

Example: Jeremy was shocked and angry when the announcement came out of the blue that his company was going out of business and he was out of work. He was bummed out for a few days until he realized this was a blessing in disguise. Here was his chance to make something positive out of the situation by returning to school. He had been toying with this idea for several months and now the separation allowance gave him the money to pay for his first few semesters.
