Stay up 4 hours after meals to reduce heartburn and acid reflux

Research suggests you set bed time four hours after a meal. Acid reflux symptoms were 7 times as likely for those retiring for the night 3 hours or less after a meal.


If you suffer from heartburn and acid reflux you may want to stay up an extra hour or two after meals. Researchers in Japan found that those who retired for the night three hours or less after eating were more than seven times as likely to have heartburn and acid reflux symptoms than those who went to bed four hours or more after meals.
